1979 Transit 2.0 Petrol 4 Speed Spec Lift

 

I rescued this from the dreaded scrap man and began a rolling restoration however I am rapidly running out of time and space because of too many projects.  Most of the welding has been completed, it runs and drives as well as a 1979 Transit would do, the spec lift works very well and includes several attachments for extreme purposes, the electrics are all sorted and work well, it is registered as a recovery vehicle therefore MOT exempt, so if you want you can tax it and drive it whilst working on it or with it.

 

To finish it requires welding to the chassis (profiles as always).  Bodywork needs finishing and a paint job to the new owners taste.  I have advertised it on here because I would like it to go to a good home where it will be finished and well looked after as I am sick of seeing so many of these old girls being chopped up.

 

I am open to offers in the region of £1,750 just to recover some of the money and time spent.

Further to our recent telephone herewith details and pictures of my Ford Transit truck.   I am the second owner of this truck since it was first registered in Guernsey in April 1967, when I assume it was new.   It has been used as a flower and tomato transport lorry from various growers to the port and has done approximately 90,000 miles.   I have used it as a general builder's truck while renovating our farmhouse and have no further use for it.   It last ran 6 months ago thanks to the water pump that you sent me but unfortunately it has developed a leak in the thermostat covering and the starter motor has become inoperable due to damp.
